Port Everglades Terminal will be strictly enforcing appointment time slots to ensure safe, efficient, and fluid truck operations—particularly during periods of high import volume.
All import containers will be available on Day 1, and sufficient appointment capacity will be provided throughout the free-time period to cover all imports. However, PET does not guarantee pickup availability at a time of a carrier’s choosing. Appointment slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and it is the responsibility of each dispatcher and carrier to plan accordingly.
Trucks arriving outside of their assigned appointment window will be denied entry. Exceptions will not be made, as adherence to the appointment system is essential to maintaining yard safety, productivity, and equitable service for all motor carriers.
